How R U Called

The Question is Not “Are you Called?” but rather “How Are You Called?”

Remember the hymn entitled, “Jesus Calls Us”.

“Jesus calls us o’er the tumult of our life’s wild, restless sea; day by day his sweet voice soundeth, saying, “Christian, follow me!”  (I just heard you singing it! Good job. Perhaps you should be checking with Julie about joining the choir.)
As Christians we are all called to follow Jesus and to try to live a life that reflects the character and love of our Savior Jesus Christ.  Some people talk about being called to follow a certain vocation in life.  Others talk about being called to volunteer in the name of Jesus to help others – some as Sunday school teachers, some as workers at Canton Calvary Mission, still others by delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.  Some people feel a call to reconcile with a family member or former friend who has not spoken to them for years.  Some feel called to offer forgiveness because they have experienced what it feels like when God forgives them.  All of these are legitimate calls by Jesus on our lives.  Think about it – pray about it.  Where is Jesus calling you today?  It’s not “Are you Called?” but rather “How Are You Called?”

I love this idea! Your web site is very creative and inspiring. I didn’t read them all, but wanted to say that the print is VERY small in some of the postings. I’m sure this can be easily fixed.
I would encourage you to keep writing!! God is speaking through your work! Blessings, Doreen

how am I called by jesus….hmm to serve? I think my “job” is to stay the flip out of the way, not be “too” obnoxious and make the other “followers” feel better about themselves.
